1、通过数据线和PC套件安装：
注意PC套件必须安装在电脑的C盘中。安装后很多下载来了软件游戏".sis"结尾的文件图标会自动变成套件的专用INSTALL图标。 连接好数据线或者红外或者蓝牙适配器，直接双击或者用打开方式：SYMBIAN INSTALL打开，这时候只要按照电脑的提示，不要理会中间出现的警告，一路YES即可安装成功(当出现“此程序可能不兼容，退出安装吗”的提示时，选NO)。 安装过程中程序会问是选择手机存储还是MMC卡存储，建议除了一些必备程序如增强文件管理SmartFileMan之外，其它的应用程序全部安装在MMC卡上，这样可以省手机存储，因为本来手机存储空间就少，还要用于电话本、记事本等，且在运行程序时还需要用到手机存储用于一些临时文件的存储，当手机存储空间不够时可能无法运行。

关机后取出MMC存储卡（支持热插拔的可不关机，但是需要先删除硬件），将安装文件复制到存储卡上，然后装卡后直接打开就可以自动安装了；S60 V2.0（6600，7610，3230）可以进入工具==文件管理中打开，直接安装即可。S60 V1.0（3650，7650，NG—QD，SX1）的用户不用着急，可以用FILEMAN或者SELEQ进行安装。
4、通过蓝牙传输
利用文件管理、Fileman传送sis原文件等受限文件可以将sis重命名为si再通过蓝牙发送，接受方直接打开安装即可。
JAR文件的安装：
也就是JAVA文件，它主要包括“.jar”“.jad”两种文件，而JAD是JAVA的描述文件，所以只需要安装JAR主文件就可以。
JAR文件在电脑上很容易被误认为“压缩文件”，所以在安装JAR时看清楚后缀名，不要解压它，弄出很多不必要的麻烦。
安装jar游戏或软件时要注意将.jar前面的文件名改为英文或者数字再进行安装。,
